Since I'm still recovering from a strained muscle in my lower back from last weeks yoga session I decided to avoid doing the same thing that caused the problem to begin with and try biking instead. It was a beautiful day for it, and so many other folks were out there as well enjoying the day and getting in a little exercise. I rode around the Furman campus and also on the Swamp Rabbit Trail. Having biked these areas before I had a good idea how far and how long it would take and my goal was to put in 90 minutes since that's what I did last Sunday.
If my back does better this week I will try yoga again next Sunday but instead of the same "ultimate power workout" I'll try a DVD I ordered called Yoga for Runners.

If you're going to keep bicycling for exercise and use your Garmin to measure your time and distance, you might find their bicycle handlebar mount useful. The plus side is it is real easy to put the Garmin on the handlebars where you can read it while riding keeping both hands on the grips. The negative is you end up replacing the existing wrist strap with a different one that comes with the bicycle kit, which you might not like as much for running (which is your principal use of the watch). I find it very helpful, but then I bike more than I hike (in the summer anyway).
