With my tight quads and left knee bothering me lately I decided to run on the treadmill to take it easier with impact and to keep the environment controlled in case I couldn't finish. From the start I felt that slight pain in my left knee but it let up after about a mile. I kept the pace at 12:30 for the first mile and increased it slightly over the run but never going faster than an 11:45 pace. I have a massage tomorrow and have been rolling my quads and icing my knee. I plan on doing more quad stretching daily and before the next few runs and especially before the marathon... in 10 days!!
