7 Miles

Interestingly the training plan drops mileage for today's long run. It is only 7 miles. Perhaps it's Hal's way of allowing some recovery from recent long runs and prepping me for the 12 miler to come next week.

Today was a beautiful fall morning for a run and my pal Amanda was with me for the 7 miles and as she continued on for her longer run I walked for awhile to cool down. I didn't concentrate on splits too much during the run because this didn't feel like a typical "long" run, I just kinda went with it knowing that 12-12:30 was about where we wanted to be. At mile 5 we stopped and had some GU which probably explains the slower split there.
