I was a little apprehensive about the 8 miler this morning because my left knee and quad have been bothering me and I woke up to the knee aching again this morning :( So, I took it super slow and by the half way point although I could still feel a tightness in my left leg I felt comfortable picking up the pace and had some nice negative splits for the last four miles. My hope and prayer for next Saturday is to be able to enjoy the experience, start slow and keep a steady pace and if I have gas left in the last 6 miles, pick it up and finish with a nice average pace. Backup hope is to just finish even if my knee decides to go wonky. 6 more days! and only 2 more runs this coming week, a 4 mile and a 3 mile.
